Is your data safe?
Data needs to be secured regularly – ideally daily and at a geographically separated location. This presentation shows how a secure, redundant, disk-based and operating system independent backup infrastructure can be built up solely with the help of Open Source Software (OSS).
About the Author
Michael Eichenberger is an engineer with a degree in electronics and has around 15 years of Unix- and 10 years of Linux-experience. He worked for sunrise in the ISP environment and is now the CEO of stepping stone GmbH, which offers services predominantly based on Open Source Software.
About OpenExpo 2007
For the third time, on Wednesday the 19th and Thursday the 20th of September 2007, OpenExpo will be open to the public in Zürich-Oerlikon, Switzerland. The biggest Swiss Open Source Conference and Exhibition presents on 350 m2 around 25 large ans small Free Software projects like OpenOffice.org, GNOME, OpenMoko, Ubuntu, Debian, Gentoo, OpenBSD, TYPO3, Joomla and more.
