FOSS-Cloud premiere at CeBIT 2011
The FOSS-Cloud offers a redundant infrastructure for the operation of virtual servers and desktops (Linux and Windows).
The foundation of the cloud are Linux, KVM (for Kernel-based Virtual Machine), QEMU (a fast processor emulator using a portable dynamic translator), SPICE (Simple Protocol for Independent Computing Environments), OpenLDAP and PHP.
The development is sponsored by the following companies:
- FOSS-Group from Basel (Switzerland) and Freiburg i.Br. (Germany)
- stepping stone GmbH from Bern (Switzerland)
- Limbas GmbH from Munich (Germany)
The participating companies use the European software license EUPL for their own developments.

The company FOSS-Group will present the FOSS-Cloud solution an the CeBIT 2011 in hall 2 at booth number D44.
