TYPO3 is a Content Management System tailored to meet the needs of businesses, and suitable for Internet, Intranet und Extranet. As Open Source-Software TYPO3 is, in comparison to partially very expensive CMS, free to the business. TYPO3 is built in modules and offers with its functions an expandable interface giving maximum application.
With the AddOn Minor Upgrade we continuously upgrade your TYPO3 installation to the next higher version. All minor version upgrades are included, for instance an upgrade from 4.0.2 to 4.0.3. Major version jumps, for instance 4.0 to 5.0 are not included. For this we offer AddOn Major Upgrade.
With the AddOn Major Upgrade we migrate your TYPO3 Installation to the next highest 'Major' Version. For example from 4.0 to 5.0. Since this procedure is associated with considerable manual effort, we charge for this effort.
It can happen, that if you add new content or modify existing content, then the changes do not appear on the web site. CMS TYPO3 still has a old version of the page, without the changes, stored in the "Cache" (buffer). To empty the cache, click, while in the in the working mode (backend), at the bottom in the navigation under "Admin functions" on "Clear cache in typo3conf/" and "Clear FE cache". At the next visit, your web site will be re-generated and stored in the cache; therefore there can be a short delay before the page is displayed.
After you clear the cache, the next time each page is requested from the Website, the page is re-generated and, for future visitors, stored in the cache. When a guest visits your Website shortly after the cache has been cleared, all pages that they visit will be, at the same time, re-generated and stored in the cache. Therefore, there can be, for a short time, a small performance loss.
For security reasons, our servers are protected by Firewalls. These firewalls control both the incoming and outgoing internet traffic. Therefore, from your TYPO3 installation, you can only access the following Extension Repository Mirrors:
TemplaVoila! (templavoila)
TemplaVoila! offers you the possibility to create HTML Templates and distribute content dynamically.
News (tt_news)
With help from the News-Extension you can display differently news articles from various pages: they can on one hand as HTML or as RSS-Feed shown, and displayed successively, while on the side present only titles, titles and lead, or full length news.
New front end login box (newloginbox)
The New front end login box Extension adds a login box to a page.
Static info tables (static_info_tables)
With the Static info tables Extension you can extend your TYPO3 installtion with countries, currencies and languages (localization and internationalization).
If you for instance copy texts from the Internet or from a Word document and paste this content into the Rich Text Editor (RTE), the result is not very pretty as you've copied the original formatting as well.
To avoid this you can proceed as follows:
The installation script is turned off so that you don't accidentally destroy the default configuration.
